WE Energies FD Fan Replacement Project

Oak Creek Plant had a tight 6 week shutdown to complete all upgrades and installations. Project began in late 2017 and needed to be fully installed within the first 3 weeks of the shutdown. Duct work was split into max shipping pieces of about 20’-0”x12’-0” for shipping considerations. All duct work was completely shop fabricated with installed turning vanes to be field bolted to adjacent assemblies for quick installation. Additionally, new ducts need to shop bolt to existing flanges of in-place duct work on either side of new fans. Tight tolerances meant the need for accurate field info and exacting details. Project began in late 2017 with all assemblies delivered FA by the end of January 2018.
